History
Sanshin Camping has involved in the manufacturing and marketing backpacks and tents field for more than 50 years. In 1977, seeing the increasing demand for high-performance mountaineering products in Taiwan, Sanshin created its own brand, Rhino, and began designing, manufacturing and marketing Rhino backpacks and tents. By the end of the decade, Rhino became the only supplier of Taiwanese brand to offer a comprehensive collections of high-performance sleeping bags, packs and tents.
From 1990s, the outdoor recreation population in Taiwan has grown larger, younger, and become more dedicated. To provides local mountaineers more options to find their best fit gears, Sanshin transformed itself into the local distributor that carried world premier outdoor products such as Sweden's PRIMUS lanterns & stoves, USA Nalgene bottles, Austria’s Linder trekking sticks, Spain's FAL Chiruca and TUCKLAND GORE-TEX trekking shoes.
Social Responsibility
Sanshin appreciates its customers not only by providing them high quality gears at reasonable price, but also doing something in return to the society by sponsoring outdoor activities that could promote healthy life style to local people.
The most significant example would be the long-term sponsorship for Taiwan's Himalayan Expeditions through providing them Rhino expedition base camp tents and gears. In 1993, the first Taiwanese stepped on the summit of Mt. Everest with gears provided by Sanshin that also deserves the credit for this remarkable record.
As the business leader with proactive vision, Sanshin continues its efforts to improve product lines through research, and the feedbacks from world-class mountaineers to meet their needs.
Our Mission
To be the premier Taiwanese distributor carrying worldwide famous outdoor brands to provide innovative and reliable high-quality products with excellent customer service and technical support to local customers. |
